Regional Cooperation

Topics for Working Group II "Regional Cooperation"

In working group “Regional cooperation”, the main goal of the debate is defining position of Serbia within regional processes, its long terms interests and negotiation’ standings within euro integration process.
Within this context, the members of working groups will look into the situation and possible directions for further cooperation in the region and give adequate recommendations for key fields of regional cooperation:

Political cooperation- regional structures and its evaluation

  • Insight of present cooperation in regional initiatives;
  • The relation of Process of cooperation in South East Europe and new Regional council for cooperation after cancellation of Stability Pact for South East Europe;
  • Parliamentarian cooperation;

Economic cooperation in the region

  • Free Trade Agreement in South East Europe (new CEFTA);
  • Common energetic market in South East Europe;
  • Common plan for development of transportation infrastructure;
  • Regional program for environmental protection;
  • Strengthening of human potentials (education, research and technology development);

Regional cooperation in the field of internal affairs and jurisdiction

  • Combating organized crime and corruption;
  • Integrated border management;
  • Asylum, visa system and migration;

Bilateral relations with neighboring countries

  • Reconciliation;
  • Repatriation of refugees;
  • Interstate transition of social rights;
  • Economic cooperation;
